What You Will Do

Are you a passionate software engineer who thrives on creating impactful solutions? As a member of our Software Integration Engineering Team, you’ll play a crucial role in developing custom solutions, applications, data integrations, drivers, and plugins for Biosero Green Button Go® Software. This powerful laboratory scheduler is used to control robots and instruments in automated systems, revolutionizing the field of Life Sciences. Join us in shaping the future of Life Science automation and contribute to solutions that make a difference! This is a remote (work from home) position, based either in the UK or Germany, and will require occasional travel to customer sites for developing GBG methods and to resolve software and driver issues.

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing and deployment of software integration solutions for various projects and platforms

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders and clients to define the integration requirements, specifications and standards 

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues and provide technical support and guidance to other engineers

• Mentor and coach junior engineers and share best practices and lessons learned

• Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies and methodologies to improve the quality and efficiency of software integration processes

Experience Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development and integration, with a focus on interoperability and compatibility. 

• Proficiency in multiple programming languages, frameworks, and tools, such as Java, Python, C#, .NET, RESTful APIs, SOAP, XML, JSON, etc. 

• Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and best practices. 

• Experience with software development tools and methodologies such as Git, Agile, CI/CD, etc. 

• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, and can work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. 

• Knowledge of one or more cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Training, Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications

• Expert in C# (or similar OO language)

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range is 65,000 -  85,000 GBP depending on experience and qualifications.  Benefits include Health Benefits, Pension, Paid Time Off, Investment in Professional and Personal Development, and much more.
