What You Will Do

We are looking for an automation Technician to join our HQ Automation Team and help us build and deliver world-changing laboratory automation systems. In the role, you will assemble automation workcells and custom engineering projects, assist shipping and receiving components of our projects, and assist the automation engineers with the operational testing of instrumentation on the projects.

**Travel will be required: 20% per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble automation workcells and custom engineering projects
  • Configure electrical, pneumatic, and communications on automation workcells and custom engineering projects based on design schematics
  • Label and organize all workcell wiring
  • Unpack, arrange, level, and secure automation workcell tables
  • Mount instrumentation and shelves to workcells
  • Assist Shipping/Receiving to keep components organized and the shop clean
  • Assist engineering team with operational testing on instrumentation

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year experience with hand-tools (drills, saws, wrenches, etc), including cutting, drilling, and tapping aluminum or similar
  • Experience working with extruded aluminum profile (such as 80/20) is preferred
  • Experience moving, packing, and installing with laboratory instruments is preferred

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Relevant trade-skill school degree desirable

Training, Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications:

  • Excellent attention to detail and drive for quality
  • Ability to read Engineering drawings
  • Able to use electric and pneumatic tools
  • Basic computer skills are required, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to operate a forklift is desired
  • Must be task focused and have a results-oriented attitude and approach to the job responsibilities

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range is $45,000 - $52,000 per year, depending on experience.  Benefits include 401K with company match, Flexible Vacation Policy, Health Benefits, Investment in Professional and Personal Development, and much more.
