What You Will Do

The Program Manager oversees the Project Management Office and ensures the efficiency of the company's project management processes. This role promotes Operational Excellence across the organization and is responsible for key initiatives, including corporate process improvements, financial objectives, new customer projects, program implementation, and special assignments. The Program Manager ensures that all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Collaboration with account management, integration, and engineering teams is essential to define project scope, deliverables, and timelines.

Candidates should reside in or around Malvern Connecticut.  

Essential Responsibilities

  • Oversee the PMO by assigning project managers to tasks and proactively planning program actions.
  • Supervise integration and automation projects from inception through delivery, ensuring completion within budget and timelines.
  • Create comprehensive, cross-functional timelines that include resource allocation, contingency plans, and buffer estimates.
  • Handle all non-technical aspects of internal New Product Development projects, including managing resources, schedules, costs, scope, documentation, and reporting progress to relevant managers.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of equipment and parts in line with project requirements, with a strong focus on price negotiation.
  • Organize and communicate key project milestones such as kick-off meetings, documentation reviews, facilities discussions, and FAT/SAT close meetings, involving appropriate resources as necessary.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring all documentation sent to or received from customers is accurate and complete.
  • Maintain organized project records, including parts lists, pricing details, FAT/SAT documentation, and purchase orders.
  • Conduct project reviews to refine internal processes, ensure consistency, and onboard new resources effectively.

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required. A degree in mechanical engineering or biological sciences is preferred.
  • Project Management Professional “PMP” Certification required
  • Proficient in MS Word, SharePoint, MS Teams, Office, Excel, Project, and Visio
  • 5+ years of technical project management experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication. 
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to lead meetings, and teams of people to project completion.
  • Customer focused and personable with the ability to resolve issues and manage tasks to completion.
  • Experience with laboratory automation, robotics, LIMS, and some engineering and/or biology background is a strong plus.
  • Ability to write or assist with the writing or editing of FAT/SAT or URS documentation.
